Tracy Foster, APRN-CNP, practices bariatrics (the study and treatment of obesity). She has practiced a wide variety of specialties since she entered nursing in 1993 and is most passionate about the bariatric program at Bailey Medical Center. “It’s a quality-driven and results-driven program that is centered on the needs of each patient,” she says. “The bariatric team carefully takes a holistic approach to each case.”
Tracy was the director of the program from 2008 to 2016 and then served as a consultant for two years following. Recently earning her master’s degree in nursing allows her to participate in a more involved role in patient care. “I’ve been working toward this for years. I truly love working with bariatric patients to help them get healthy and stay healthy.”
Tracy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville in 2015. She completed her Master of Science degree at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2018. She is a member of the Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, the Oklahoma Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is active in the Oklahoma chapter of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Tracy’s personal interests include watching Oklahoma Sooner football, traveling, exercise, water sports and spending time with her family and friends.
