About Kenneth Hamilton, D.O.
Ken Hamilton, D.O., specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) at Utica Park Clinic (UPC) on the campus of Hillcrest Hospital South. His professional areas of interest include laparoscopic surgery as well as complete obstetrical care.
Dr. Hamilton’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine began with his family. He said, “My great-grandfather was a Pioneer family practice physician in the early 20th century and obstetrics was a large part of his practice. His hard work and commitment to his patients inspired me to enter medicine.”
As Dr. Hamilton entered medical school, he quickly realized that he enjoyed being challenged on a daily basis. He said, “Obstetrics and gynecology piqued my interest due to the fact that it involves medicine, obstetrics and surgery. In addition, I found women to be much more involved in their health care than men.”
As he continues to care for his patients, he makes it a point to build on each relationship personally and professionally. He adds that many of his patients love to ask challenging questions about their health care and also discuss many personal topics. He said, "I make an attempt to keep our appointments 'lighthearted' and professionally engaging at the same time.”
Dr. Hamilton likes to encourage and remind patients that, “Every question about your health is worth asking.”
When Dr. Hamilton isn’t working, he can be found enjoying time with his very large family and friends. “I also enjoy a lot of outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing, flying and golfing,” he added.
