About Tamara Sadler, APRN-CNP
Tamara Sadler, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine at Utica Park Clinic (UPC). Her professional areas of interest include women’s health, pediatrics, mental health and addiction/recovery medicine.
Tamara knew at a young age that she wanted to chart a path in life that would help others. “My dad was a medical assistant and his stories really inspired me to someday become a provider. After high school, I started out as an LPN and then became an RN where I worked as a home health nurse,” she said. “I think this is when I really fell in love with family practice through the opportunities I had to provide education and care to multi-generational families during some of the most difficult times of their lives. Now as a family practice provider, I consider it an honor when patients bring back their children, grandchildren, and other family members or friends to see me.”
Tamara’s love for family medicine allows her not only the opportunity to develop connections with her patients but also serve the community she grew up in. She said, “It’s important to build a relationship with my patients and I try really hard to take extra time to pause and listen to each patient as they share their story. I've worked and lived within this same community since I first became a nurse over 22 years ago. These are my neighbors, fellow church members and friends, so providing quality and compassionate care is important to me. I strive to provide care for each patient as I would want my own family to be treated.”
At the end of the day, Tamara said her goal is to provide each patient with the education needed to make the best, informed decisions regarding their health.
When Tamara isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family, baking, gardening and caring for her farm animals.
