About Lindsey Wingo, PA-C
Lindsey Wingo, PA-C, specializes in gastroenterology (GI) care at Utica Park Clinic. “I chose gastroenterology because of the intricate connection between the GI tract and overall health. GI issues can highly impact one's quality of life, and I am eager to help make a meaningful difference in my patients' health,” Lindsey said.
Choosing to pursue a career in medicine was a decision that came naturally to Lindsey. She said, “I grew up in a medical family with my mother as a nurse and my father as a physician. I always looked up to my dad and how he took care of his patients, which played a large role in choosing medicine as a career. I also loved learning about how the body worked through anatomy and physiology and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I think working in medicine is one of the most rewarding jobs because it allows you to use your knowledge and resources to truly help people live better and healthier lives.”
When it comes to building a relationship with her patients, Lindsey wants each individual to feel confident in their care experience. She said, “I want to make sure my patients always feel heard and understood, and do this by taking the time to really listen to their concerns and being empathetic to any situation they may be in. I want them to feel comfortable and trust that they can open up to me without any fear of judgment or doubt. I also want to ensure them that they do have a voice in their treatment plan so that they do not lose any feelings of control over their own health/body.”
When Lindsey isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her dogs, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, exercising and traveling.
