About Darren Vargas, D.O.
Dr. Vargas chose to focus on OB-GYN because he enjoys being a part of such a special time in a woman’s life. “For me there is no greater joy and honor than taking care of women through their pregnancy,” he said. “The opportunity to walk side by side as you embark on the most exciting, scary and wonderful journey of your life is what called to me the most.”
Dr. Vargas practices in most areas of OB-GYN. He can assist you with anything from basic obstetrics to high-risk pregnancy to treating infertility. He performs various types of surgical procedures to correct abnormal uterine bleeding, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and more. “I focus on the entire person,” he said. “I’ll strive to make sure you feel heard and then together, we can formulate a health plan that accomplishes your health goals.”
When he is away from the office, Dr. Vargas enjoys spending time with his family, being outside, golfing, fishing, hunting and wood working.

Dr. Vargas exceeded my expectations, I went in expecting to be denied sterilization again due to my younger age (27), after asking about my birth control I mentioned I didn't really enjoy being on it for so long and I wish I could get sterilized. He immediately assured me he could do the procedure and asked very minimal questions about whether I was sure (I have been wanting this procedure since I was 18). No ifs, ands, or buts, just reassurance that I knew what I want and need for my lifestyle. He discussed any side effects of the procedure and also recommended a uterine ablation to help manage bleeding during menstruation which I also decided to go ahead with. The day after the appointment I got a call from his scheduler and was on the books only 3 weeks later for my procedures! Dr. Vargas also has incredible bedside manner, listens intently, isn't dismissive, and is incredibly kind. He gave me the quickest and most comfortable Women Wellness Exam I've ever had, I am excited to continue seeing Dr. Vargas for any of my Gynecologist needs!

Dr. Vargas is by far the best doctor at Utica Park Clinic. I recommend everyone to him. He's very caring, listens, and gave me options for things I was dealing with. Very professional as well. 10/10 would always recommend him.

Love Dr. Vargas! He's always friendly, and really seems to listen and actually hears any issues or concerns. Not only for this appointment but for all of my past ones with pregnancy, even questions with my delivery. He's awesome!

He answered my questions, did my women's exam better than anyone else I've ever been to, and put in orders for me to have my first mammogram. I couldn't be happier with the care I received. I drive 45 minutes to another town to go to him for a reason.
