About Yera Peavey, D.O.
Dr. Peavey’s decision to work in family medicine was made at an early time in her course of becoming a doctor. “I worked in clinical research focusing on diabetes,” she said. “As I met and understood more patients, I felt that preventing common health issues was just as-if not more-important as treating them. This encouraged me to apply to medical school with the intent of entering primary care,” said Dr. Peavey.
Now, as a primary care provider, Dr. Peavey enjoys getting to care for patients. “Practicing family medicine gives me the opportunity to keep patients of all ages healthy. I also enjoy the day-to-day variety of outpatient family medicine,” she said.
When it comes to giving advice to her patients on their health, Dr. Peavey says, “Long-term goals require long-term sustainable changes.”
When Dr. Peavey isn’t working, she can be found traveling, trying new restaurants, gardening and most recently, crocheting. An activity she did and would like to try again one day is skydiving!

I gave the physician a 4 out 5 in my likelihood of recommending them to others, only because I haven't had enough experience interacting with her to know how extensive her knowledge is about various medical topics. The physician has done a good job so far in what little has been discussed.

I never have a problem with my doctor or her staff. This time was great, I seldom have to many questions, I did this time, and the doctor was more than happy to answer any questions that I brought up. I was saying sorry for keeping her so long, that was more than ok with her, she stay and make sure I was supported with my concerns about myself.

Office staff could have been better on informing her because I wasn't contacted until the next day and I had to keep calling to get the office staff to tell Dr. Peavey I needed to talk to her about my health concern.
