Stephanie McQuarters, APRN-CNP, provides support for Utica Park Clinic general surgeons at Hillcrest Medical Center. She has worked in the health care industry since 2000 and at Hillcrest Medical Center since 2009. “The services I provide are based on the knowledge and experience I have acquired and continue to acquire,” she says. With each patient, she shows understanding, empathy, compassion and selflessness. “I surround myself with well-rounded individuals who strive to make the world a better and healthier place,” she adds.
Stephanie pursued a career in health care because, “it’s rewarding and life changing,” she says. “It allows me to nurture my desire to help others. I have always loved the life-altering field of surgery. Stepping into another person’s life at one of their most challenging moments and making a difference is an incredible privilege. I enjoy giving them the opportunity for a better life or a new start.”
Stephanie preaches compliance and education to her patients. “I let them know that knowledge is everything and being compliant plays a big part in their well-being and healing process,” she says.
Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Langston University in 2003. She completed a Master of Science degree in nursing leadership at Grand Canyon University in 2012. She became certified in wound, ostomy and continence nursing (CWOCN) at Emory University in 2013. She completed a Master of Science degree at the University of Oklahoma in 2017.
Stephanie’s personal interests include traveling, watching movies, dancing and spending time with her family.
