Jaesung Kim, M.D., has provided neurological care since 2009. He is board certified in Neurology by The American Board Of Psychiatry and Neurology. “For every patient, I aim to provide the best care possible using the most up-to-date, evidence-based medicine and humanitarianism,” he says. “It is very satisfying to be part of a team that helps patients with their neurological issues.”

Dr. Kim’s choice to practice medicine was inspired by both his father and grandfather who also made a career of providing medical care.

Dr. Kim welcomes the opportunity to help patients with any general neurological concerns and he is particularly skilled in the areas of stroke, epilepsy and behavioral and cognitive neurology. Additionally, he says, “I like to emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet and avoiding smoking.”

Dr. Kim earned his medical degree in 2009 from Korea University Medical College in Seoul, South Korea. He then served as a chief medical officer in a medically underserved area in Korea for three years. He completed his internship at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile, AL in 2014 and also completed his residency there as a chief resident in neurology in 2017.

Dr. Kim is a member of the American Neurological Association. He is fluent in Korean and English.

Dr. Kim’s personal interests include playing racquetball and table tennis and also playing the violin and acoustic guitar.

Dr. Kim cares for hospitalized neurology patients at the Oklahoma Stroke & Neurological Institute at Hillcrest Medical Center at 1120 S. Utica Ave. in Tulsa.
