Navigating SoonerSelect at Hillcrest
Hillcrest, including Utica Park Clinic (UPC) and Oklahoma Heart Institute (OHI), is a participant in a newly developed Medicaid model for the state of Oklahoma known as SoonerSelect. SoonerSelect aims to provide more health plan options to Oklahomans who qualify for SoonerCare (Medicaid) benefits.
What is SoonerSelect?
Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) implemented a new Medicaid model called SoonerSelect, to provide health benefits through arrangements between state agencies and health insurance plans on April 1, 2024.
SoonerSelect partnered with the following health insurance companies:
- Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma
- Humana Healthy Horizons of Oklahoma
- Oklahoma Complete Health (Centene)
UPC providers are covered under all three plans. All health plans provide SoonerSelect members with the same health care services currently offered by SoonerCare. All three plans offer various extra benefits to their members.
What is UPC Select?
UPC Select clinics are locations that accept new patients enrolled in SoonerSelect. All primary care providers at UPC Select locations accept SoonerSelect patients, and all forms of Medicaid are accepted.
