Regina Mills, APRN-CNP, practices medical oncology through OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center at Hillcrest and has worked in medical oncology since 2008. She chose to focus her career on this area because of a personal experience. “I had a grandmother with stage IV thyroid cancer who I cared for during the last year of her life,” she said. “I saw how the medical oncology providers took care of her and I knew I wanted to make a difference in others’ lives as they had made in mine.”
When caring for patients, Regina treats people as she would want her own family treated. “Working in medical oncology requires a heightened level of compassion and dedication to patients,” she said. “The nature of the diseases I treat makes the relationships I build with patients and their families very important. A career in medical oncology involves just as much passion as it does experience.”
When teaching people how to get healthy, Regina encourages them to count on friends and family. “The most important thing I tell my patients is to let others help them in their journey,” she said. “The process can get overwhelming, but having help from other people can make their lives a little easier.”
Regina received Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic (UPC) as a nurse practitioner, Regina was a registered nurse for UPC medical oncology.
When she is away from the office, Regina enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, shopping and traveling.
Regina welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans. Her office is located on the Hillcrest Medical Center campus at:

Regina was really nice and kind to me. Her nurse who takes cares of the pre appointment formalities was kind as well. Regina showed genuine interest and empathy while we discussed my breast cancer survivor journey. I didn’t feel like just another patient. She listened to me and began working on a plan with me. I REALLY appreciated and needed that. Thank you. Raiena Johnson, LPN. (Nina)
