Regina Mills, APRN-CNP, has worked in medical oncology (cancer care) since 2008. She chose to focus her career on this area because of a personal experience. “I had a grandmother with stage IV thyroid cancer who I cared for during the last year of her life,” she said. “I saw how the medical oncology providers took care of her and I knew I wanted to make a difference in others’ lives as they had made in mine.”
When caring for patients, Mrs. Mills treats people as she would want her own family treated. “Working in medical oncology requires a heightened level of compassion and dedication to patients,” she said. “The nature of the diseases I treat makes the relationships I build with patients and their families very important. A career in medical oncology involves just as much passion as it does experience.”
When teaching people how to get healthy, Mrs. Mills encourages them to count on friends and family. “The most important thing I tell my patients is to let others help them in their journey,” she said. “The process can get overwhelming, but having help from other people can make their lives a little easier.”
Mrs. Mills received Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic (UPC) as a nurse practitioner, Mrs. Mills was a registered nurse for UPC medical oncology.
When she is away from the office, Mrs. Mills enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, shopping and traveling.
Mrs. Mills welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans. Her office is located on the Hillcrest Medical Center campus at:

Had a chemo treatment on Wednesday, May 18th and my nurse, April was very nice and took care of my time I was there. A special thank you to Crystal at the front desk of the Infusion Center and her other helper who have been especially nice and accommodating when I check in. Back in 2019 I had some treatments and Pixie was at the front desk. I know she still works there but in another area. So gold stars to April, Crystal and to all of the nurses in the Infusion Center.

She is always courteous, answer questions and helps when other arrangements need to be made for the patient. I appreciate the attentiveness to letting me be informed if they have the lab results available.
