Jessica Koshy, D.O., specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) at Utica Park Clinic. Her professional areas of interest include obstetrical care and comprehensive family planning, adolescent care, minimally invasive surgery and office-based procedures.

Dr. Koshy’s interest to pursue medicine sparked during high school while working as a student athletic trainer. She said, “I quickly realized that I liked working with my hands and solving problems in an innovative and fast-paced environment. I focused on science classes during high school and college, and my shadowing experiences confirmed my decision to go into medicine.”

Dr. Koshy’s journey to become an OB-GYN provider came at an inspiration to those closest to her. She said, “I'm fortunate to have so many strong women in my life and have always been passionate about women's health. I love being able to help educate women to allow them to make informed decisions about their health care through every stage of life.”

Dr. Koshy values the relationships with her patients and the connections built over time. She adds, “OB-GYN is such as a personal field and requires a physician-patient relationship that is based on trust. It's my goal to make my patients feel that their questions and concerns have been heard and that they are able to actively participate in decisions regarding their care.”

She likes to remind everyone to never be afraid to ask questions and advocate for yourself. “Our main goal as physicians is to provide education that helps you reach your health care goals,” she said.

Dr. Koshy served as chief resident during her obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) residency.

Outside of work, Dr. Koshy enjoys spending time with her husband and their two fur babies. She adds, “We enjoy trying new restaurants, listening to live music and traveling. I also love being outdoors, and enjoy running, hiking and anything that involves being out on the water.”
