Traci White, M.D., has practiced pain management in Tulsa since 2009. When treating patients, she looks at the whole person then customizes a plan of care. “There are so many aspects of a person’s life that are effected by their pain,” she says. “There is no cookie cutter treatment for chronic pain.”
Dr. White got into health care because it is a combination of two things she enjoys. “I love science and also love to interact with people and health care is a perfect mix,” she says. “I felt that this was an area I could make a difference in the lives of others.”
Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. White worked in sales with retirees. It was here she realized she wanted to focus on pain management. “I heard over and over from these retirees that their pain had the most negative impact on their quality of life,” she says. “I feel that improving someone’s quality of life is sometimes more important than just extending their life.”
Dr. White received a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Oklahoma State University in 1996. She earned a medical degree from University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2004. She completed an anesthesiology residency and pain management fellowship at Washington University in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
When she is away from the office, Dr. White enjoys traveling, spending time with family, being involved in her church and serving others.

Dr. White has explained the procedure for my pain relief procedure very well and thoroughly answered my questions. She and the staff at the Tulsa Spine and Speciality Hospital and very kind and function as an efficient well coordinate team. I recommend Dr. White and this facility.

My daughter has serve physical and mental disabilities and was needing injection for her back pain. I have seen some reviews about Dr White and staff not being pleasant or having a good bed side manner and I can say I had the complete opposite experience. My daughter has a true phobia of needles and the staff was beyond understanding an patient with her. They not only took care of her and took the extra time needed they took care of my wife and myself as well. They were kind, informative, and understanding. They adapted their approach to accommodate my daughter specific needs. Every person we talked to was this way. My interactions with Dr White and her staff is amazing and I feel blessed to have them care for my daughter.
