Tana Stutzman, APRN-CNP, has worked in the health care industry in northeastern Oklahoma since 1997. She has been a women’s health nurse practitioner since 2002. “Before becoming a nurse practitioner,” she explains, “I was a labor and delivery nurse. I’ve always been passionate about women's health.”

“I love being part of the journey of pregnancy,” she says. “Providing expectant mothers with relevant information and care helps them make informed decisions about their condition or diagnosis. That increases their chances of a great experience in the birth of their newborn,” she says.

Tana encourages patients to take care of themselves. “Healthy eating, avoiding processed foods and getting plenty of sunshine and exercise are keys to better health,” she says.

Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic, Tana cared for patients at OB-GYN of Green Country in Pryor, Cherokee Nation Health Services in Tahlequah, Mayes County Medical Center in Pryor, Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa and Hillcrest Hospital Claremore.

Tana received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville. She earned her Master of Science degree in nursing at the University of Phoenix in Arizona. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Oklahoma Nurse Practitioner Association, the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the Association of Women’s Health – Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses, the American Nursing Association and the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses.

Tana’s personal interests include refurbishing furniture and spending time outdoors and with her family.

Recently, my special needs daughter needed to have her first Pap smear preformed. I tried to prepare her before the appointment by describing what the process would entail. Upon arrival at the clinic she meet Tana for the first time. I introduced them and told my daughter that Tana had been my caregiver when she was an infant. After a little small talk Tana told my daughter why it was necessary to have the exam. She explained how and what she was going to do. Even though my daughter was terrified Tana did her best to soothe and calm her. She showed her how to check for lumps when doing her breast exam. Overall, the experience was positive. I am grateful for her kindness and patience while helping my daughter. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any woman needing ob/gyn services.

She is the best ob/gyn, she is very personable, she is very intelligent and knowledgeable about hormones and I absolutely look forward to my yearly check up. That’s saying something because I used to hate going to my yearly check up. She does such a great job and spends time with her patients , which is hard for find these days. I absolutely love her.
