Roger K. Pfeiffer, D.O., specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) at Utica Park Clinic.
Dr. Pfeiffer’s decision to become an OB-GYN provider happened early in his career while he was still in medical school and his wife had a baby. He was studying to become a trauma surgeon, something he decided on when he was just 12-years-old walking home from his first CPR class. He was instantly hooked on medicine and continued to follow his dream career of being a trauma surgeon until one day he changed course.
“My wife and I had our first child when I was in medical school,” he said. “I was still really focused on trauma surgery. Our experience was less than ideal, and I walked out of the hospital saying to myself, ‘I think I could do better than that.’ So, I changed emphasis and went to OB-GYN.”
Fast forward and now Dr. Pfeiffer has been a practicing OB-GYN since 2005.
He likes to build relationships with patients based on the simple foundation of listening, understanding and communication. “This all leads to trust and what is more important in this type of relationship?” He adds, “In the end of the day we are all people and want to be heard and respected.”
Dr. Pfeiffer says out of all the advice he likes to give his patients, the one to take away is, “We worry about what we can control. We play the cards we are dealt the best we can.”
Dr. Pfeiffer’s education and experience includes:
• Residency in OB-GYN at Metro Health Hospital in Michigan, 2009
• Internship in OB-GYN at Metro Health Hospital in Michigan, 2006
• Medical degree at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) of Midwestern University, 2005
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Arizona State University, 2000
• Associate degree in paramedic/fire science at Mohave Community College, 1998

AMAZING!! I have had my slew of lazy or pushy OBGYNs and Dr. Pfeiffer is the best in the game. Upbeat and caring. I’ve never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for my appointment (as a mom this is important) and I’ve never felt rushed. My delivery with my son was a rough one and I know if I had been with someone else they would have either cut or taken me for a c section. He was patient and didn’t rush me and I am so thankful. I would definitely trust him with my care. Also Bailey medical is great! Love the staff too.

Dr Pfeiffer and his staff are beyond wonderful. I couldn’t ask for a better Doctor and team. They are so kind patient and caring, always taking the time to explain things and help in any way they can. Dr Pfeiffer is amazing at what he does and knows his stuff! I actually feel like he truly cares about his patients as a whole and not just for his speciality. Him and the staff are super responsive to any concerns I have. The front desk is always extremely kind as well on the phone and in person. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! They will take care of you! ❤️🤰🏼👶🏼

He is a caring doctor who actually takes the time to listen to his patients. I had a lot of issues and he took the time to figure out the issue and was able to fix my issue which made me feel like myself again.
