Libby Huff, APRN-CNP, DNP, specializes in palliative care at Utica Park Clinic on the campus of Hillcrest Medical Center. Her professional areas of interest beyond palliative care include the use of advanced technology as assistive devices that promote independence.
Libby’s journey into health care began while growing up in rural Oklahoma. She said being surrounded by farm life sparked her interest in biological sciences. As time went on, her nursing career began in a hospice setting. Libby said these early experiences now influence many elements and decisions of her nursing practice, especially working in palliative care.
Caring for patients at vulnerable times in their lives is important to Libby. She does her best to connect with each individual by building trust. She said, “Building trust with a patient is key to developing therapeutic relationships with patients. It is my personal philosophy to provide truthful, accurate and transparent information to patients.”
Libby’s education and career experience include:
• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK, 2024
