Candice Rogers, APRN-CNP, has practiced health care since 2004. She pursued a degree in the medical field because it allows her to have a career involving two things she loves: science and people. “The human body is an amazing scientific entity that I never get tired of studying and learning from,” she says. “In all our imperfections and shortcomings, humans have more in common than we realize. Health is a universal need among all of us. Using science to help humans makes for a perfect scenario.”

Ms. Rogers decided to focus on pulmonary care because she found it to be rewarding. “Seeing a person recover from serious illness or injury gives a high like no other,” she says. “I enjoy the attention to detail that the work requires as well as the bonds that are built with patients and families in this setting.”

When teaching patients how to stay healthy, Ms. Rogers encourages a balance of physical, mental and spiritual health. “Maintaining a healthy weight with diet and exercise is just the beginning,” she says. “Making time to recharge mentally and spiritually by finding activities or quiet moments that will refresh your soul and mind is equally important.”

Ms. Rogers received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Arkansas Tech University in 2013. She completed a Master of Science degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2019. Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic, Ms. Rogers provided care in Tulsa, California, New Jersey and Arkansas. When she is away from the office, Ms. Rogers enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, kayaking, hiking and backpacking long distances.
