About Mandy Crutchfield, APRN-CNP
Mandy’s inspiration for pursuing a career in health care began at an early age and continued to grow with her experiences as a paramedic, nurse and now as a nurse practitioner. Her shift from critical care and neurology to now pediatrics occurred in 2019. “At the time, my 5-year-old son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Through our personal journey, I learned firsthand that kids are amazingly resilient and powerful human beings, and my love and passion for caring for the pediatric population really flourished,” she said.
Now, when it comes to building relationships with her patients, Mandy values being engaged and involved. “I believe it’s important for the child and the parent to understand that I also want what’s best for the child and I have found that allowing kids to be involved in their assessment and care helps harbor a sense of comfort and trust,” she said. “I often allow the reluctant child to first examine my ears or the parents’ ears and teach them the purpose for what I am about do with them.”
Mandy likes to work with parents on creating strategies that bring the whole family together to build toward a healthy successful lifestyle, and most importantly, a safe environment for a growing child.
When Mandy isn’t working at the clinic, she can be found spending time with her husband and kids enjoying the outdoors, playing baseball and basketball and taking care of the many animals they have on their farm.

Ms. Mandy was absolutely great with my daughter in trying to fix and figure out the issues and how she was going to go about helping her. She also left the office feeling like the Doctor actually cared about her. Mandy was absolutely fantastic!

Mandy is absolutely amazing! Nothing bad to say at all!

I didn't feel rushed and when I called back later with a follow up question I was able to speak to the doctor over the phone (even though I know they were swamped with patients). The phone call didn't feel rushed either. She gave very detailed explanations and opinions on courses of action.

Mandy always listens to our concerns, is very informative and thorough.

I have never had any complaints. This particular appt, the Dr was kind enough to give a younger sibling attention as he pretended to be sick too. I am very thankful for the kindness shown.

They take the time to listen to your concerns and how to take care of them and they explain things so you can understand them

Amanda Crutchfield is the BEST! I have 4 kids, and all of them were with me to be checked. She is amazing at taking time & understanding each child's needs. She always remembers little details of our lives & asks how we're doing.

Both Dr. Crutchfield and Nurse Practitioner Lexi, were both so patient and wonderful with my son. I cannot recommend Dr. Crutchfield enough to others. The way she interacted with my son during his "check up" was simply amazing. I had never witnessed such a caring, patient and kind pediatric doctor with my son more than her. I am very thankful to have such a wonderful pediatrician in Claremore!

Dr. Mandy is amazing. She was so patient with Ezra considering he was too sick to sit up for long periods of time for her to listen to his vitals. And because I mentioned my ears bothering me, she took a quick peek to confirm fluid build up and recommended some over the counter meds to help.
