Sammi Nance, APRN-CNP, practices family medicine and has been in health care since 2010. She chose a career in medicine because it allows her to help others. “I have always enjoyed interacting and getting to know people,” she said. In health care, she can do that while providing excellent and compassionate care. "I believe there is no greater joy than improving the lives and health of my patients.”
When caring for people, Sammi treats patients like family. “My goal is for you to feel that you are truly heard and that all your needs are addressed,” she said. “It is important to incorporate evidence-based practices and real-world evidence into family medicine.”
Sammi chose to focus on family medicine because it gives her the ability to treat a wide range of patients. “In family practice, I can be involved in many different areas of care and treat people of all ages,” she said. “I love to form ongoing relationships with my patients and their families.”
Sammi received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health and Sciences Center in 2010. She earned a Master of Science degree in nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2019. With the exception of a few months, she has worked for Ardent Health Services, Utica Park Clinic’s parent company, since 2016.
