Lisa Lee, APRN-CNS, specializes in palliative care at Utica Park Clinic. Her professional area of interest encompasses cardiology and all the specialties that fall under it.
Lisa’s journey into medicine started when she was a unit clerk in a hospital and was then transferred to the emergency department. “I was fascinated by watching the health care team work on a trauma patient. I wanted to be a part of it,” she said.
As Lisa has gained years of experience from working as a critical care nurse to an adjunct professor teaching about the skills of nursing, she always makes it a priority to connect with her patients. “I love finding out something personal about the patient that lets you connect as humans,” she adds.
Some of her go-to advice she shares with patients is to “be invested in your long-term health.”
Lisa’s education and career experience include:
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a clinical nurse specialist (CNS) specialty from the University of Oklahoma, 2012
• Master of Science (MS) in Nursing Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma, 2000
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Northeastern State University, 1997
• Associate degree in nursing from Bacone College, 1988
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys golf, reading and playing board games with friends.
