Cheryl Kroeker, D.O., specializes in family medicine at Utica Park Clinic. Dr. Kroeker brings with her years of knowledge and experience ranging from an adjunct faculty member to an emergency room (ER) physician. She has been practicing medicine since 2004 and serves on several local committees and boards, including chief of staff for Hillcrest Hospital Pryor.
Growing up, Dr. Kroeker had always been interested in various science subjects. One day at a young age, she said her dad encouraged her to become a physician, and the idea stuck with her and took off.
When asked how she chose family medicine as her focus, she said, “I never saw myself doing anything other than family medicine. To me, it is the epitome of what being a doctor is all about, seeing all ages and all problems.”
Dr. Kroeker enjoys providing care and building relationships with the community members of Chouteau. She said, “I love getting to know patients and learn what goes on in their lives. It happens over continued care.”
Dr. Kroeker’s education and career experience include:
• A primary care training enhancement fellowship at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSUCHS) in Tulsa, in 2020
• A residency at Durant Family Medicine Program in Durant, Oklahoma, in 2007
• An internship at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, Oklahoma, in 2005
• Graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree at Oklahoma State University (OSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, in 2004
• Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree at McPherson College in Kansas, in 2000
Dr. Kroeker’s awards and major accomplishments include:
• Awarded Rural Health Educator of the Year by the Rural Health Association of Oklahoma in 2020
Outside of work, Dr. Kroeker enjoys spending time with her family and friends and riding UTVs.
