Bonita Franklin, D.O.

Bonita Franklin, D.O., has practiced pain management and anesthesiology since 2014. Dr. Franklin’s goal is to improve her patients’ lives and functional capacity. “I want to care for you as a whole person and treat every aspect of your pain,” she says. “As we restore function, your confidence and personal relationships will likely also improve.”

Dr. Franklin chose to focus on pain management because it allows her to help people in an immediate and visible way. “Alleviating a patient’s pain is extremely rewarding,” she says. “With the use of spinal interventional procedures and adjuvant medications and therapies, I have witnessed my patients walk out of the office feeling and performing better than when they arrived.”

When teaching patients how to get healthy, Dr. Franklin reminds them that health starts from within. “A healthy mindset and attitude is the key to maintaining happiness and physical healthiness,” she says.

Dr. Franklin completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Chemistry from Oral Roberts University in three years. She earned a medical degree at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. She completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2018. She completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship at Louisiana State University in 2019.

When she is away from the office, Dr. Franklin enjoys spending time with family, traveling, design and decorating.
