John Carradini, M.D., specializes in internal medicine at Utica Park Clinic. “Internal medicine affords me the opportunity to see the long-term improvements in someone’s care, while investigating the root causes of their disease or ailment. In clinic-based medicine, every day is different and there is no end to what can walk through the door,” he said.
Dr. Carradini was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after he tore his ACL playing football in high school. “After shadowing my surgeon, the summer after my surgery, I fell in love with helping people regain, or attain for the first time, the life that they want to have,” he said.
When it comes to connecting with patients, Dr. Carradini said, “I enjoy getting to create personal relationships with my patients, and learning what their goals are in life, and how I can best help them achieve these goals. Through multiple visits, I am able to learn the person in front of me, and not just whatever brought them into the clinic.”
Dr. Carradini said he enjoys discussing with his patients how lifestyle affects disease, specifically in the areas of nutrition counseling and physical activity counseling. He emphasizes the importance of making healthy and easy choices that can help in developing a strategy together.
When Dr. Carradini isn’t working, he likes to spend time with his wife and family, playing golf, reading on new subjects and testing out different recipes in the kitchen.

• Doctor of medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa (OU), 2020
• Master in public health (MPH) degree in interdisciplinary public health from the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, 2019
• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Arkansas, 2015
• Eagle Scout award, 2007
