What I love about Dr. Tomecek is that he is soft spoken and thinks outside the box. He is not afraid to do what he knows best. I had cervical fusion and titanium and I came out feeling great. Love love his knowledge and caring ways. (Good luck getting in, I recommend faxing him a letter because his assistant is overworked and does not call back for months until after a complaint is done.

Dr. Tomecek and his associate Kelly are both caring and professional. I was nearly killed by a drunk driver in 2022, and piece by piece they put me back together. I recently loss my husband and Kelly was kind as I struggled during my last appointment. It's still going to be challenging, but I have Dr's who are at the top of their game.

I went to Dr. Tomecek because I felt like I was paralyzed on one side and could not even hold my phone. I also had a hard time walking and was in a lot of pain. He reviewed my MRI and explained the severity of my case. If I didn’t have surgery, I could be paralyzed. I had total confidence that Dr. Tomecek would help me with this extensive surgery. He explained in detail what he was planning to do and let me know it would be a long surgery. I know his hands were guided by God because after surgery, I felt like nothing was ever wrong with me. I also had no complications and couldn’t thank Dr. Tomecek enough because he gave my life back to me. If you feel hopeless, as though no one could help you, I highly recommend Dr. Tomecek because he is a miracle worker. May God bless him.

Dr. Tomecek saved my life! My condition was very severe and I was having a hard time walking due to pain. I was also weak on my right side and after having an MRI, he told me my condition was severe and needed surgery. He was very detailed at explaining my condition to me and I felt comfortable with him to perform the surgery. I cannot say enough about him and his team. After surgery and through my recovery, I no longer felt pain in my feet/ankles or weakness on my right side. I have no doubt that God guided his hands to perform my surgery and I even had no complications afterwards. Six weeks after my surgery, I will be returning to work. I was looking at reviews after referring Dr. Tomecek to someone and had posted my review after my back surgery in 2009 and just wanted to say again that he is the best. I went to several doctors to get help with my back and they said it was my weight. I couldn't even walk hardly couldn't shop was home bound practially and in horrible pain. But Dr. Tomscek found the problem and fixed it I was good as new. He told me I would have to have surgery again in 10 years and he was right but Im trying to hold off . The hospital was amazing also. Didn't feel like I was in one it felt more like a expensive hotel.

Having an overly physical job and outgoing lifestyle I basically abused my body into the need to have three surgeries on my back and neck all of them elective on my part. Dr Tomachek has had to fix a lot of places on my spine that would eventually be debilitating. I’m glad I had this opportunity over the last four years to get these places fixed on my back and neck. I will not let anybody else touch my back after the success Dr.Tomecek has had with me. My first and second surgeries are 100% perfect and you Have to look pretty hard to even notice a scar. I’m recovering from my neck surgery and it looks at this point to be smooth sailing forward. My advice is to never wait till it’s too late to fix a very painful problem. Because when one thing starts bringing you down your whole life can cave-in around you. Fix the things you can while you can because eventually will come to the things that you can’t I hope this helps somebody.

Dr Tomechek was a great Dr. my neck is doing great. The only problems I had and maybe when they get more staff it will be better. Left messages and weren’t return. Also phamarcy got in contact with me and said his office didn’t return calls. I called Lynn and she said the nurse was in vacation. I told her I need my medicine to be refilled a week later I got it. That is my only complaint.

Dr. Tomecek and his staff performed spinal fusion surgery on me in early January. The results have been good beyond my imagination. Dr. Tomecek is the best surgeon. He gave me hope again. I’m a 34 year old mom whose genetics weren’t the best as far as my back and degenerative disc disease go, it was pretty messed up. I was in so much pain when I came to him after a failed surgery last summer. I had little hope I would feel better, but every week is better than the week before and he’s really given me my life back. His bedside manner is an A++ & the office staff is wonderful. Dr. Tomecek is an excellent neurosurgeon. He takes the time to answer all of your questions and has your well-being at the forefront of his care. He does not rush into decisions and will thoroughly explain everything to you. He is the only specialty physician that I know that will spend 45 minutes with you. Dr. Tomecek and his PA were so kind, informative, and knowledgeable. I had surgery from another physician at another facility two years ago but have been experiencing even worse symptoms and wanted a fresh eye. I saw Dr Tomecek after he did my husband's fusion surgery last year. I had fusion surgery in March. My pain has been resolved. Dr Tomecek is very knowledgable, patient and thorough. His physician's assistant and nurse are attentive and responsive. I suffered for almost 2 years before surgery because 2 orthopedics said it was my hip. It was my back. My leg and back pain are virtually non-existent, and I can be active again.

After having contrasted MRI image of my neck Dr. Tomecek gave me two choices to have emergency spinal cord surgery or to remain in my current condition at the time which he strongly didn't recommend, it was my choice though... Dr Tomecek was straight on giving our family all options we had when my son had emergency cervical spine surgery June 28,2019. Our decision was to have Dr Tomecek and his team do extensive complicated surgery. Dr Tomecek assembled a team in a matter of two hours late on Friday afternoon and went to surgery that evening. There are no certainties with surgery that has compression on the spinal cord . We were told by Dr Tomecek that he and his team would do surgery hoping to give my son the best chance at life and quality life that he could have. The outcome is better than anyone ever expected. We are 4 months out from surgery getting stronger coming from a quadraplegic ventilator dependent state to the beginning of standing again. I would definitely tell anyone to consider using Dr Tomecek and I will use him again if needed for myself or family.

I would recommend Dr. Tomecek to anyone needing spinal surgery. He is an excellent surgeon. He cares about his patients and has an outstanding staff. I had a botched surgery by an Orthopedic surgeon. My legs quite working, he had a screw through my disc touching my spinal cord. It was difficult finding a Neurosurgeon, they don't like fixing someone else's mess. I found Dr. Tomecek. He showed me the problems on the CT scan and told me the risk. He said for sure the screw has to come out. It was an 8 hour surgery. He took all the misplaced hardware from the first surgery out and corrected the problems. I haven't been in pain. Time will tell if my nerves will come back. My experience with Dr. Frank Tomecek, his staff and the Tulsa Spine and Specialty Hospital was like staying in a 5 star hotel. Again I would recommend Dr. Tomecek to anyone needing spinal surgery. I am able to walk because of Dr. Tomecek and his surgical skill.
