Travis Griffiths, M.D., specializes in orthopedics/sports medicine and is fluent in speaking English and Spanish.
“I chose primary care sports medicine because it allowed me to blend many of my medical interests into one field,” said Dr. Griffiths. “In my training, I was able to continue focusing on the overall health and wellbeing of my patients while getting to focus on the musculoskeletal system, and care for athletes of all ages. Being able to bring relief to patients from their musculoskeletal pain and get them active again is one of the most gratifying parts of my job.”
Dr. Griffiths constantly works to improve his care for patients by staying up-to-date on current information and relaying information to patients so they can make educated decisions for their care. “Patients deserve to know what is going on in their bodies. Explaining the potential diagnosis as well as a workup plan, treatment options and follow-up are important so that the patient can make actual informed decisions and be a more integral part of their own care,” he said.
When it comes to maintaining or getting healthy, Dr. Griffiths encourages patients to find an approach to nutrition and physical activity that is enjoyable and sustainable. “I’m a firm believer that success leads to more success,” he adds. “As that plan begins to pay off in helping us reach our goals, we find more drive, commitment and enjoyment in continuing the process, adjusting the plan and setting new goals.”
When Dr. Griffiths is not working at the clinic, he can be found enjoying time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, weightlifting and long distance running.
Dr. Griffiths’ education includes:
• Fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Oklahoma, 2022
• Residency in family medicine with the Idaho-Rural Training Track program, 2021
• Medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine, 2018
• Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at Utah Valley University, 2013

Travis Griffiths, M.D. was fantastic. I have an issue with my right knee which primary care had an X-ray done, which led to an MRI. When I saw Dr. Griffiths he was very personable and professional. He examined my knee thoroughly and upon reviewing my X-ray and MRI he determined that my arthritis was minor and suggested physical therapy. He was very honest about the health of my knee and very encouraging. I would highly recommend him if you have orthopedic issues.
