Christopher Webber, APRN-CNP, specializes in caring for hospitalized pulmonary and critical care patients at Hillcrest Medical Center.
“I began my career in health care at age 17 when I started working as a nurse aid in a small rural hospital in Oklahoma,” he said. “I grew in my knowledge and training every day that I came into work.”
While pursuing nursing school, Christopher worked in a critical care unit, quickly realizing this was what he wanted to focus on. He said, “I pursued a career in health care, specifically nursing, to best serve the needs of acutely ill patients. Providing high-quality, empathetic medical care and educating patients is the core of my care philosophy.”
Christopher’s outlook on care was brought to light in 2020 when he spent two months in Chicago, Illinois working as a bedside nurse in the intensive care unit (ICU). This was during the peak of the pandemic, caring for COVID-19 patients and putting his empathy for others first.
When Christopher isn’t working at the hospital, he can be found enjoying time with his wife and dogs, playing ice hockey, rock climbing, playing music and roasting coffee.
Christopher’s education and career experience include:
• Post-Master’s certificate in adult gerontology acute care at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, 2021
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Tulsa, OK, 2015
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at East Central University, Ada, OK, 2009
