About Jenny Lloyd, APRN-CNP
Jenny Lloyd, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine at Utica Park Clinic. She said, “I believe it is vital to listen to patients. I am determined to meet patients where they are and offer care that is evidence-based and safe, while at the same time personalized to their needs.”
Jenny chose to specialize in family medicine because she enjoys caring for individuals throughout their lives. “Family care offers the opportunity to meet people at varying stages of life and offers the opportunity to develop a long-standing relationship with patients,” she said.
Her inspiration to pursue a career in medicine occurred at a very young age. Jenny said, “As a young child, health issues exposed me to the challenges associated with chronic illness. Not only did I personally experience the consequences of chronic illness, but I witnessed the impact to my loved ones. Later, while caring for my father at the end of his life, I was humbled and moved by the care we received while navigating a devastating diagnosis. These experiences have engendered in me a desire to be a voice, a sounding board or a tool to navigate the consequences of disease. I am motivated to care for individuals during both times of health and illness.”
Now, as Jenny works to provide care to her community and those surrounding it, she reminds patients that, “Current health care offers options that were not available to generations past. There is not a one-size-fits-all method of addressing needs and it may require patience to address complex needs. I look forward to a partnership with the patient and the discovery of solutions to their health care challenges.”
When Jenny isn’t working, she enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.
