Melody Evans, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine, and chose to pursue a career in health care because it allows her to help others in advanced and diverse ways.
She believes that everyone deserves quality access to health care and that she can be helpful to Okmulgee-area residents. “Those who live in rural areas are at a disadvantage due to so many factors,” she said. “I feel as if I can be a valuable resource in those underserved areas.”
She encourages her patients to be proactive in their health care instead of reactive. “I invite each patient to participate in establishing a treatment plan that is best for them and the outcome they want to achieve,” she said.
Melody’s education and certification includes:

• Master of Science in nursing (MSN) – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from University of Phoenix, 2021
• Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, 2007
• Associate degree in applied science from Connors State University, 1995
Outside of working at the clinic, Melody enjoys cooking, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.

I really like Melody. So does my wife (she's a patient too). Melody is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She listens to our concerns and has been a great help to us. Any time we send a request through MyChart she is always quick to respond. I am currently considering switching jobs. But, I have not done it yet simply because I don't know if Melody will be an authorized provider under the new insurance and I don't want to lose her.

Hands down the best PCP I could ever ask for. She truly cares, listens to my concerns and answers any and all questions I have. She is very sweet, down to earth and very easy to talk to. I really enjoy my visits and always look forward to my next. I highly recommend 😁

I have been diagnosed with multiple illness. Multiple Sclerosis, Muscle Sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and just plain chronic pain for no reason I suppose. I also have had a gastric bypass which keeps me from taking any kind of anti-inflammatory. This lady said nothing about what I had only how to make the pain stop. We tried pain meds and just other things but nothing provided relief. She listens and she asks questions. She conversates about me. She truly cares more than any doctor i EVER had, I am 58. Sometimes I can not walk or eat or function. Now I may have a chance to improve that issue immensely. Thank you to you guys so much for caring as much as you do and all that you put into each person that comes to your office.
